Description
I have been working on larger (to me) woodcuts. Here is my latest creation! The process involves carving away the white parts of the image. The untouched areas of wood will pick up the ink.
The process is similar to a rubber stamp, only uses a different kind of ink, and an old-fashioned printing press to transfer the image to paper.
Here’s a short video to illustrate the process:
Woodcut on heavyweight, acid free, 100% post consumer wood fiber paper
Printed (with a traditional press) and signed by the artist
Image dimensions: 16 x 20″
Paper dimensions: 20″x24″
Free Shipping (rolled in a tube)
Watermark on bottom right of photo not on actual woodcut.
