Teapot workshop at Arrowmont with Yoko Sekino-Bové – Day 1

Greetings from Arrowmont School of Arts And Crafts!
I’m here for a week long workshop, where we will ‘consider the teapot’ with artist, Yoko Sekino-Bové.

I love her surface designs, and I have always considered the teapot to the be ultimate form: with a handle, lid and spout, it’s a true test of a potters craftsmanship.

But first things first! Arrowmont has a yearly tradition of commissioning an artist to make 200 cups with the Arrowmont logo to sell at their art supply store.

How I wish I had a time machine to add some of these pots to my collection!

One of the first things I do when I arrive at Arrowmont is to visit Celeste Rudd and get the latest arrowmont cup

This year’s artist is Stuart Gair, I chose this beautiful cup with a great atmospheric glaze
