the Augusta Art Guild hosted a plein air activity last friday.
I was tired from travel, but couldn’t NOT participate. When I first moved to Kentucky, Augusta was the community who took me in, nurtured and encouraged me when I was a little baby artist-with a dream of being a full time artist–and it’s where I developed a LOVE for plein air painting!
I wanted to create something that captured all the warm feelings I have about that special little river town. I think I succeeded!!! I’m so glad I left the house–even when I didn’t want to. Thanks so much to Deb and Brad Wooldrige for organizing this event!
