I love art-based community projects, and ‘Empty Bowls‘ is one of my favorite! I don’t make pottery or soup, so my contribution to fight hunger is this small oil painting; which will be raffled off tomorrow at Maysville’s Empty Bowls dinner.
I have fallen in love with Fiona, the baby hippo at the Cincinnati zoo. So I decided to make a short animation to celebrate her first swim in the big pool. My busy sister even had time to make an original song to play in the background. You can learn more about her music here: http://www.jaxmusicteacher.com. You can see more of my short animations in my animation gallery or follow me on instagram, where I have been sharing a lot nowadays.
We are making some changes to the website, so the site might be a little bit chaotic while we are making the improvements.
In the meantime, here is a little peek of a video I am working on with my sister, Carrie:

Ken is a self-taught artist from rural Kentucky, whose work includes painting, printmaking, and pottery. He considers himself to be a 'lifetime learner' and he uses art as the vehicle to explore and learn more about the world around him. Much of his work reflect his optimistic views on rural folk culture, river life and simple pleasures.
You can visit Ken every Final Friday of the month at studio 400 at the Pendleton Art Center in downtown Cincinnati. He can also be found picnicking near his home in the Historic Village of Old Washington, KY.
