Printmaking at the FUSION gallery

IMG_5038
Friday was my show at the FUSION gallery.

IMG_5044
I setup my press and printed a limited edition block print during the opening.

IMG_5075
It gave me something to keep me busy, and the guests something interactive to look at.

IMG_5070
For one evening, the gallery was a print shop!

IMG_5067
After weeks of preparation, the Bellevue block print came out beautiful!

IMG_5100
I made 12 prints (and one Artist Proof for me).

Bellevue Block Print

Tomorrow night (Friday, Nov 5), from 6-9pm, I will print a special limited edition block print.  The print will only be printed that evening at the FUSION gallery on Fairfield avenue in Bellevue, KY.

Here’s what I’ve done to prepare:

057
First, I trace the design onto the linoleum block.

068 (1)
Then carve out all the white spaces.

073
I cover the block with ink, and run it through the press

074
I check the test for mistakes…

075 (1)
Then fix any spots I missed

076
Here’s the finished print!

If you want one, they are for sale $60 each.

Come to the show an watch it go through the press, or let me know if you want me to reserve one for you.
