It’s that time of year when the weather cools down, and I have a different art show every weekend. There have been a few shows dampened by wet fall weather, but all-in-all, it’s been a lot of fun.
Here’s a video I made at the Ohio River Valley Artist Guild show:
I’m no videographer, and all the footage was with my cell phone, but overall, I think it’s pretty good!
If we haven’t seen each other yet this season, there are still two opportunities.
Hyde Park – October 4th in Cincinnati
KY Guild Art fair – October 10-11th at the Indian Fort Theatre in Berea, KY
If you don’t want to have to deal with me, and just want to see my work in a truly exquisite gallery, stop by the EAT Gallery on Second Street in Maysville, KY. I am proud to be one of their featured artists.
If you are shopping in Louisville, be sure to stop by the S. Bayly Boutique. It’s a really cool shop with good vibes and great art…including mine! It’s at the corner of Lexington Ave, and S. Bayly in Louisville, KY.
So, I’m looking forward to the next couple of shows…then I’m REALLY looking forward to some time for hiking, canoeing, camping, and wandering around in general with my sketchbook and paints. (Tag a longs welcome!)
also, don’t miss these great events on the same day. If I didn’t have an art show, I wouldn’t miss these:
Writer’s Group at Artcroft with Art Reception featuring work by Selena Gerdes and Mary Louise Dean. Two of my favorite artists in an exhibit at a very special location. Writers and art lovers all welcome contact Jim Lally for more information 606.763.6827

Augusta, KY will be have a live swing band on the River AND Maysville will has their Simon Kenton Festival in the village of Old Washington at the same time, so this weekend is a great opportunity for a road trip along the Ohio River. Lots of fun things to do.
I finished a few major paintings this week. They are larger than my average paintings, and will look great over a fireplace or couch. They all have prospective buyers (collectors who visited my studio while the paintings were on my easel) , but I have not decided on the prices yet, so there is a chance if you are interested.
Maysville – Market And Third

Ken is a self-taught artist from rural Kentucky, whose work includes painting, printmaking, and pottery. He considers himself to be a 'lifetime learner' and he uses art as the vehicle to explore and learn more about the world around him. Much of his work reflect his optimistic views on rural folk culture, river life and simple pleasures.
You can visit Ken every Final Friday of the month at studio 400 at the Pendleton Art Center in downtown Cincinnati. He can also be found picnicking near his home in the Historic Village of Old Washington, KY.
