Florida

Winter 2005

For the winter of 2005, I decided to pack my van with art supplies and travel to Florida. I was afraid that Kentucky's brutal winters would not be a comfortable location to continue my plein air painting.

I discovered endless inspiration in the sunshine. The birds were enjoying the southern warmth. I saw my first wild bald eagle... but didn't get a photograph.

Exploring St. Augustine, America's oldest European city was awesome. The spanish influence has survived for hundreds of years.
